Hosting First Marketing Club Event
It All Begins Here
I hosted my first-ever Marketing Club event, and honestly, I’m so proud of how it turned out.
This idea started way back in Spring Quarter, when I was running for Marketing Consultant. I kept thinking about how many of us in marketing work so hard on projects, case studies, designs, and internships… but we don’t always know how to show that work. With how competitive the job market is, our classes don’t always give us everything we need to stand out, especially when it comes to building a strong portfolio.
I wanted to create something that would actually help students feel confident putting themselves out there. Something practical. Something community-driven. And something I wish I had earlier in my college journey.
As a senior now, it felt meaningful to bring together resources, examples, and people from my own network, including former Marketing Club officers who inspired me to become an officer myself, and even students from UW Seattle who were willing to support since it’s peak internship season. That meant the world to me.
After weeks of planning, drafting content, booking rooms, meeting with my team, and collaborating with our Red Bull Marketeer, the Marketing Portfolio Workshop officially came to life.
A marketing portfolio is more than a collection of projects, it’s a way for us as students to show our skills, our creativity, our story, and the work we put in week after week, even when we don’t have years of job experience yet. Being able to help others build that foundation is something I’m genuinely proud of.
Huge thank you to our amazing guest speakers who shared their insights and answered every question with so much honesty and care:
Siqi Zheng , Xiya Zheng, Bojo Ocampo, and Maansi S.
And of course, thank you to my officer team for believing in this idea and helping me bring it to life. This was the perfect way to kick off Marketing Club after being officially recognized this year.
More events coming soon, but this first one will always be special.
Bojo Ocampo, Siqi Zheng , Xiya Zheng, and Maansi S.
CED Case Competition
It All Begins Here
✨ Feeling proud and grateful after winning our first case competition with Delta Sigma Pi and CED!
Over the past three weeks, I had the opportunity to work alongside four incredible women, Mei Hanway, Gayathri Sunkari, Hailey Granvold, and Akanksha Khanal, as Team W.I.S.E. (Women in Strategy & Execution). While none of us are finance majors, we took on the challenge of tackling a financial strategy case head-on to push ourselves outside our comfort zones and deepen our understanding of the industry.
Each week, we brainstormed, ran Excel models, asked tough questions, and built out a strategy presentation aimed at growing the company’s share price from last year and forecasting into 2025. We were proud to be the only team to propose hiring two additional employees as part of our plan to drive growth through expanded capacity and execution.
After pitching our strategy, we were thrilled to be named the winners of the competition!
A huge thank you to CED and Delta Sigma Pi’s Upsilon Psi Chapter for organizing this experience, and to Brian R. Shepherd, Elena Willems, MaKayla DiBenedetto, Daksh Kumar and everyone who provided insights, mentorship, and feedback along the way. This experience not only grew my technical skills but also showed me the power of collaboration, curiosity, and creativity in solving complex business problems.
Looking forward to taking what I’ve learned into future challenges!

2025 Winter Quarter Recap
It All Begins Here
✨ Reflecting on an incredible Winter Quarter at UW Bothell! 🚀
This quarter was filled with exciting challenges and major growth moments as I continued pursuing my dream career in marketing. I dove deep into strategic marketing with the Ford case in our Marketing Management Lab, where I developed creative recommendations and sharpened my analytical skills.
🎤 Leading two interactive article presentations and engaging my peers through fun, two-hour teaching sessions allowed me to boost my presentation skills and deepened my understanding of vital marketing strategies. Big shout-out to my amazing teammates and professor Ceri Nishihara, who made learning truly enjoyable!
I also loved collaborating with my fantastic team on a consulting project for Mark Smutny and Civic Reinventions, where we enhanced brand visibility through strategic digital marketing, SEO, and targeted social media engagement. 🌟📈
This quarter truly showed me how capable I am in marketing, strategic thinking, and teamwork, and it's exciting to feel myself getting closer to the marketing career I've been dreaming of! 🌟
Can't wait to keep this momentum going next quarter with even more opportunities to grow and achieve! 💼📈
