CED Case Competition

✨ Feeling proud and grateful after winning our first case competition with Delta Sigma Pi and CED!

Over the past three weeks, I had the opportunity to work alongside four incredible women, Mei Hanway, Gayathri Sunkari, Hailey Granvold, and Akanksha Khanal, as Team W.I.S.E. (Women in Strategy & Execution). While none of us are finance majors, we took on the challenge of tackling a financial strategy case head-on to push ourselves outside our comfort zones and deepen our understanding of the industry.

Each week, we brainstormed, ran Excel models, asked tough questions, and built out a strategy presentation aimed at growing the company’s share price from last year and forecasting into 2025. We were proud to be the only team to propose hiring two additional employees as part of our plan to drive growth through expanded capacity and execution.

After pitching our strategy, we were thrilled to be named the winners of the competition!

A huge thank you to CED and Delta Sigma Pi’s Upsilon Psi Chapter for organizing this experience, and to Brian R. Shepherd, Elena Willems, MaKayla DiBenedetto, Daksh Kumar and everyone who provided insights, mentorship, and feedback along the way. This experience not only grew my technical skills but also showed me the power of collaboration, curiosity, and creativity in solving complex business problems.
